Platonic "Japanese" images

It is difficult to find a good use of images in film/video inpired by Japanese animation in a elegant or subtle way. And not all Japanese animation is inspiring...
This video by INTERPOL made me feel that mystical feeling that I felt when I was a little girl watching Japanese animation: fantastic platonic love images.
The textures, colors, contrast in characters, are all so well manipulated!. They (associates in science) achieved to create a good perception of those old platonic images, and symbolism in fire...BEAUTIFUL.
